Hi, I’m Jenn.  I’ve been a part of the elementary art world since 2008.  I was born and raised in Buffalo (Go Bills).  I have four awesome kids of my own and am a Halloween and coffee enthusiast.  When it comes to my own artistic process, I am drawn to creating mixed media assemblages and paintings.  These often utilize image transfers, collage and painted layers.  Learning the art of stained glass is also something that I have been diving into.

Creating art lessons and resources has always been a source of pride for me.  It is so inspiring to see students taking skills and processes that you have taught them and translate them into their own unique artwork.  My favorite things to teach to young students include: painting,  handbuilding techniques for clay and how to create cardboard assemblages.

I love the idea of sharing my ideas with fellow art educators and hope to make their lives easier in the process. My blog will serve as a space to share elementary art processes and lessons, while simultaneously being a creative outlet for myself.
